HDFC Scholarship 2025– Parivartan ECSS Programme for Education & Sustainable Development

The HDFC Scholarship, mainly known as HDFC Parivartan’s ECSS (Educational Crisis Scholarship Support) Programme, provided by the HDFC Bank, aims to provide financial assistance to meritorious and needy students. The scholarship is provided annually with several thousand seats for underprivileged students. The aim of the scholarship is to provide financial aid to students who are needy, or who have a family crisis due to which they cannot continue their studies anymore, and are on the verge of dropping out form their studies. Objective of the HDFC Scholarship

The objective behind the launch of the HDFC Parivartan’s Educational Crisis Scholarship Support (ECSS) Programme is to provide financial aid to the needy and brilliant students. Other objectives of the scholarship are given below:

  • The scholarship aims to fill the gap arising due to financial status among the underprivileged students.
  • Encourages inclusivity for the students from underprivileged sections of society by giving them a chance to study and gain experience from higher education.
  • The scholarship is provided by Class 1 so that the basics of the students can be improved, which will be beneficial for their students.
  • The scholarship aims to help the family of the scholars by easing the weight of financial strains from their shoulders.

Eligibility Criteria for the HDFC Scholarship

The HDFC Bank has set some criteria for the students to be eligible for the scholarship so that the more needy and caliber-filled students are given priority in the selection procedure.  The eligibility criteria to avail the scholarship are:

  • The scholarship can be availed of only by the citizens of India.
  • The applying candidate must be studying in
  • Classes 1 through 12 in private, public, or government-aided schools, diploma, ITI, and polytechnic programs;
  • Pursuing graduation courses (general courses- BCom, BSc, BA, BCA, etc., and professional courses- BTech, MBBS, LLB, B Arch, Nursing in recognized colleges or universities in India; 
  • Postgraduate courses in accredited Indian colleges and universities, including professional courses like MTech, MBA, and general courses like MCom, MA, etc.
  • The candidate must have passed their previous examination by securing a minimum of 55% marks.
  • The family income of the candidate’s family should be less than or equal to Rs. 2.5 Lakhs.
  • Applicants who might be facing personal or family crises, which have affected their continuation of their education, will be given priority.

Steps for HDFC Scholarship Apply Online

The steps for applying for the HDFC ECSS Scholarship are given below:

  1. Visit the official website: https://www.hdfcbankecss.com/.
  2. Choose among the options for School students, undergraduate students, and postgraduate students. 
  3. Click on the option “Apply now”. You will be redirected to the Portal.
  4. If you have not registered on the portal, register by entering your Email address, Mobile number, and Gmail account.
  5. After registering, log in to the portal, and then you will be redirected to the “Application form page”. 
  6. To begin the application process, click on the “Start Application” option.
  7. Fill in the required credentials and upload the required documents. 
  8. Accept the option of “Terms and Conditions”, and click on the “Preview” option.
  9. Check all your filled details, and click on the “Submit” option to complete the application process. 

*NOTE: The application process is the same for the School students, Undergraduate, and Postgraduate students.

There are a number of documents required for being a qualified applicant for the HDFC Parivartan’s ECSS Programme. The list of documents required for the scholarship is:

For School Students:

  • Passport-size photograph
  • Previous year’s marksheets (2024-2025)
  • Identity proof (Aadhaar Card)
  • Current year admission proof
  • Applicant Bank Passbook/Cancelled Cheque 
  • Income Proof (issued by Gram Panchayat/Ward Counsellor/Sarpanch, SDM/DM/CO/Tehsildar, Affidavit).
  • Proof of family/personal crisis (if applicable)

For Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students:

  • Passport-size photograph
  • Previous year’s marksheets 
  • Identity proof (Aadhaar Card/Voter ID/Driving License)
  • Admission documentation for the current year (fee receipt, admission letter, institution ID card, or bona fide certificate)
