The Mukhymantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana (MYSY) ,an initiative introduced by the Gujarat Government to offer scholarships to students from economically weaker category. Under this scheme, scholarship is provided to eligible students to finance education for their enrolled programs. Notable Features of the Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana (MYSY) Scholarship
MYSY scheme Scholarship has numerous features listed below:
- Books and Study Material: Financial help is given to students for books, course materials, tools, and other educational resources.
- Medical and Dental Courses Scholarship: Students enrolled in medical/dental courses will be provided monetary assistance of ₹10 lakhs for a 5-year duration.
- Age Relaxation: For government job applications, 05 years of age relaxation is offered to irrespective of their category.
- Guidance for Competitive Exams: Students preparing for competitive exams avail free consultation and guidance.
- Monthly Financial Support: Students who lack government hostels in the region where they enrolled admission, will be offered 1200/month for 10 months duration.
- Assistance for Diploma Courses: Students pursuing diploma courses and having passed their 10th and 12th standard with 80%, will be provided ₹25,000 every year or 50% of their fee, whichever is lower until completion of their courses.

Tuition Fee Grant:
Under the Tuition Fee Grant, Rs.2,00,000/- is provided to Medical (MBBS), and Dental students, Rs. 50,000/- for professional graduation courses, BTech, BPharm, etc, Rs. 25,000/- for Diploma programs, and Rs. 10,000/- for graduation programs, (Bcom, BSc, BA, BCA, BBA, etc).

Books and Instrument Grant:
Apart from inclusion of expenses of courses and hostels, it includes the expenditure of books and instruments. The grant amount is Rs.1,000/- for Medical (MBBS) and dental courses(BDS), Rs, 5000 for Architecture, Engineering, Pharmacy, and Technology programs, and Rs.3,000/- for Diploma programs.

Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana (MYSY) Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
To apply for MYSY, students to fulfill MYSY scholarship eligibility criteria, listed below:
- Diploma Enrollments: Students enrolled in Diploma courses must pass class 10th with a minimum 80 percentile from a recognized board in the Gujarat State.
- Bachelor’s Courses: Candidates pursuing Bachelor’s degree programs, must pass the Class 12 with a minimum 80 percentile from a recognized board in the Gujarat State.
- Diploma to Degree Candidates: To get the benefits of a scholarship under this category, candidates must obtain 65% marks at the Diploma examination from a recognized university in Gujarat.
- Annual Parental Income: The family income of candidates should not exceed Rs. 6,00,000/- per year eligible for getting the scheme benefits.
- Income Certificate: The income certificate should be approved by the State government for three financial years from the issuing date.

- Firstly, open your preferred browser and enter mysy.guj.nic.in on the search bar.
- Multiple search results will appear. Click on the official website. To directly reach the official web page, click on the web link https://mysy.guj.nic.in/
- Now, On the homepage of the website, tap on login/register for 2023 and then click on Fresh Application.
- In case, candidates have registered on the website, they are required to log in with their credentials. If not, they need to register first and proceed to the next page.
- Now, students are required to fill in all the necessary details such as board, University, passing year, admission year, stream, enrollment number, mobile number, etc.
- In the next step, tap on the ‘get password’ option.
- Now, the form will be displayed on the screen, where students enter all the asked details.
- At last, upload all the necessary documents and click submit.
MYSY scholarship will assist students to get advanced education to get the scholarship benefits, including tuition fees, and hostel fees. Each year, students to renew their application for subsequent years of the program. The starting date of filling the application form is 11 September 2023 advisable for students to complete before the last date.
