What is Khasra and Khatauni?

Bhulekh is a term commonly used for land records in India. In India, you can also see the details of the land records online. All states have their own Bhulekh portal. The Indian government launched the National Land Records Modernization Programme (NLRMP) in 2008 for India citizens. The government aimed to develop a contemporary and transparent land records management system in the country. This Bhulekh portal provides ROR, state maps, Khasra, Khatauni, jamabandi, Fard, and other land records. Indian citizens can easily access all this information; they don’t have to stand in a queue or wait long to check the documents. States like Bihar, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Orissa, Madhya Pradesh, etc., have their land record portal. 

What is Khasra and Khatauni?

Khasra: It is a legal agriculture document that describes the location of the land and the crops, all the fields and their areas, measurement, what cultivators they use, who owns them, soil type, what type of trees on the land, etc. A khasra contains all this information. The State Revenue Department gives the khasra number and land parcel identification numbers. 

Khatauni: It is based on the Khasra document. A khatauni of an individual or family will have all the information about Khasra in their Khatauni document. It is a unique ID for land records.

Jamabandi: The Village land record ROR is known as Jamabandi. In Jamabandi registration, you will see various sections like property area, cultivation, rights, landowners’ names, rent and revenue, tax payable of land, Fard, parcha, and other details.

What is Khasra and Khatauni?

Land records: Bhulekh Uttar Pradesh 

It is difficult to find land record details offline, so you can just check it online in your state portal. You can check Uttar Pradesh land records in the Bhulekh portal. The portal is in Hindi, and the features are straightforward and user-friendly. Users have to select their district and then the village. After this, users can search land records by Khasra or Khata number or by name; some steps are below. Follow the steps and check land records online. 

  • Visit the Bhulekh up portal and then select your district.
  • Select your district and tehsil names from the list.
  • Choose your village name and click the Search button to view land records.
  • Users can check the land records by using these three options listed below 1 – The number of khasra, 2- Khata number, and 3 – name.
  • Click on the option and check the land records.

Follow these steps to check Bhulekh Bihar’s land records.

  • Visit the official website (biharbhumi.bihar.gov.in) of Bihar Bhulekh.
  • Select your district from the drop-down menu. The district names are given there on a list. You can choose from them.
  • After selecting your district, Anchal. Select Anchal from the map on the portal. 
  • After picking the Anchal, the mouza list was appear there on the screen 
  • Users will see two options for selecting Mouza: Choose the mouza from the list shown on the screen or create your own. Users can check the mouza list by selecting one of the alphabets available on the computer screen. 
  • You will see various options there to check your land records.
